The return of Urban shopping and Cocktails

After a summer long hiatus this event is back along with all of it's artist, treats and wonderful host Christy and Jenson. This event happens every 3rd Saturday of the month and brings together the best hand made arts, crafts and culinary deliciousness from local small business.
This month is a Halloween themed shopping event with vendors like LalaLaurie with halloween paper craftiness. Parisienne Girl Designs is also going to be here and will be bringing her gorgeous creations where timeless style meets modern elegance, working out of Tacoma as well is Dewy&Byrd Co. creates custom jewelry for the runway, shops and you. One of my favorite people who will be there is SeaStone Botanicals she is usually my neighbor at events and is so nice plus makes the best lip balms, hand salves, lotion bars, solid perfumes and beautiful soaps. If you are a fan of unique handcrafted re-purposed goodies then there are a few choices for you to choose from like Look What I Found, Earth Nerd Treasures with all kinds of handcrafted goodies. The host of course is a brilliant artist herself bringing together her love of cooking and using the finest quality plus sustainable materials to bring you delicious gourmet culinary salts and blends from her small business Libertine Tacoma
So, come and shop a great selection of local vendors while enjoying light snacks and a signature cocktail plus a GOODIE BAG for those who RSVP. No children please as this event tends to get crowded and there are adult beverages being served. We ask that you spend at least $5.00 as this is a shopping event to support our local artist, crafters and creators.

Back Bar Flea Market 1013

As a small business owner hand making one of a kind unique pieces of jewelry for you, I am very happy to be living in a city where local businesses such as The Crocodile let hard working artist & craftsmen come together to have a pop  up shop for a day out of the month. Some artist are friends that I have known for a few years and some our folks that I meet for the very first time. Enjoy their work and check out shops on etsy or "LiKE" pages on Facebook.
Top right photo is my friend Jenny that makes awesome nerdy treasures such as magnets, soaps and drinking glasses. I bought her star wars set for my boyfriend  as a Christmas present he loved them. Check out her Etsy site Inferno Creations.
Bottom left photo is my friend Debo's license plate art, I love his pieces because he uses up-cycled materials. I totally bought a Texas bracelet for my boyfriend's Dad, he loves it. "Like" his page on Facebook to see more of his art License Plate Art by Debo
Bottom middle photo is my friend Ani's hair flowers she hands sculpts the center pieces and attaches them to different color flowers. As you may know I live my hair and accessorizing it so, I have about 5 of her flowers, one in every color.
Bottom right photo is a new vendor to this market Rachel her mom and her create art together making cute baby clothing, cat toys and cute nursery art.
Check out her Etsy page Buttons Bows and Beyond
Thanks so much for taking a minute and reading my blog please visit these different sites and "LIKE" their pages. And above all when doing your holiday shopping this year remember to shop local because when you do not only are you supporting a local crafter you are also helping to stimulate your local economy. Be happy
