Flea Markets

This week has been so hectic when I started this Blog i was hoping to write everyday but, alas I have a life after all. Speaking of life yesterday was my birthday it was fun my best friend Shandi mother fucking Jones bought me a really rad birthday out outfit and a bomb ass cupcake. I hung out with all my favorite girlfriends we went to our favorite after work bar at Pike place Market The Athenian. After that we went our separate ways then met up again this time also with Dan, Gary, Abby to watch Pee Wee's Big Adventure at Cal Anderson Park on the hill where we ate more cupcakes, it was awesome!

Enough about me though let's talk about Flea Markets there is one tomorrow in the U district at a bar called Dante's it should be rad I will be there with my friend Marie. Marie will have paintings of naked girls and one of a kind pieces of jewelry made with beads and metals from her travels in the past check out some photos of her work Brass Belle is the name of her business.

Another flea market I am actually really excited about is the Flea Market at The Crocodile I located a spot that I am hoping is going to be a continuos gathering spot for the Belltown community to hang out drink and shop during the art walk on 2nd Fridays of every month. There will be an array of eclectic art, hand made jewelry even gourmet culinary creations at this event all made by local crafters that travel by bus, car or taxi to be here so take advantage of this free event and tell your friends too.

Here is a list of links to just some of the vendors you can expect to see at this event Fingerprint Confections,Libertine Tacoma,Inferno CreationsTrashiquebymiruCaps'N'Scraps plus many more this is just a few.
If you can not wait until the 10th or can't make it to the U district but need a flea market fix check out The Hangover Flea Market it is every other sunday and a lot of the vendors here will also be at the Crocodile.

Life In Seattle

When I first arrived in the Emerald city in 2007 I was fascinated with all the history,  art installations Seattle's music scene, local sports team and celebrity's.  This week though the scene has been changed dramatically with first the news that a local celebrity known as JP Patches aka Chris Wedes passed away and then the Mariners traded Ichiro Suzuki to the N.Y Yankees.  That's all I got to say about that!

Block Party

I did a flea market today the Capitol Hill Indoor Flea Market at The Century Ballroom.
I was really excited because it being block party and all I thought sales would be better than usual but unfortunately things did not go as I was hoping and am not going to Block Party I had to pay my phone bill. See the thing with having the square for your phone is that you HAVE to pay your bill in order to use your phone and continue taking debit or credit card. As of today though I have started looking for a  part time job I gotta eat and be able to afford the comfortability that I have become accustomed to, maybe I'll get a job back at the market.
Here is how I set up my table today.

My very first post, july 20th

Expect everything from my handmade jewelry even outdoor art and life through my eyes in post, my boyfriend Mr. dan is a most awesome and talented graffiti artist we share a studio in Seattle Wa. with my dog Forrest.
At the moment I am working on gathering artist, crafters and folks with vintage goods or records to have an ArtWalk flea market at the famous Crocodile in Seattle WA.
There is a tight nit group of crafters, pickers and artist that live in and around the Seattle area that have been gathering for the last couple years in mostly the Capitol Hill area of Seattle but have been spreading to Belltown, Pioneer Square and even the U-district. As guerilla crafters, we travel by bus and are easily noticed we are the ones that have beads of sweat on our face, rolling racks, carrying milk crates or holding luggage and for those of us who do have cars we consider them more of a storage unit.
Places you can find me and my crafty friends include: The hangover flea Market on Sundays at The Comet Tavern located on the corner of Pine and 10th in the Capitol hill neighborhood. ARTACHE on the first Sunday of every month at Vermillion Art&Bar Gallery just across from the Value Village on 11th also in the Capitol Hill area.
Capitol Hill Indoor Flea Market at the Century Ballroom located at 915 E Pine St
11:00am- 3:00pm every Saturday on the 3rd floor,
First Thursdays at Scratch and Dent Gallery as part of the Pioneer Square ArtWalk.
